JUNEAU, AK — October 16, 2023 — The Juneau Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the remarkable success of its Annual Dinner, which was held on October 14, 2023. Chamber of Commerce's Annual Dinner brought together a diverse range of
business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community members for an evening of
camaraderie and recognition. The event highlighted the economic significance of
ocean industries, emphasizing their contributions to the local economy and

The event

Board Members**: Corey Baxter with Operating Engineers Local 302, Angie Nolan with Alaska Unlimited
Realty, and Sara Race with Gartner have all joined the board.
2. **New
President-Elect**: A new President-Elect, Ben Brown was revealed at the Annual
Dinner, marking the start of an exciting leadership transition. The incoming
President-Elect will work alongside the Chamber's leadership team to continue
advancing the organization's mission and goals.
3. **Citizen of the Year**: The Chamber recognized and celebrated Leticia McRae as the "Citizen of the Year." This prestigious award pays tribute to someone who has made significant contributions to the Juneau community through their outstanding service and commitment. Leticia’s commitment to the community and keeping it cleaning made her a well deserving recipient.

**Lifetime Achievement Award**: Jim Sr & Cecelia Wilcox were honored with
the Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing their longstanding dedication and
achievements that have positively impacted the community and its members.

**Business of the Year**: This year the Chamber awarded the "Business of
the Year" award for the first time. This recognition highlighted G.R.
Cheeseman Construction, who demonstrated excellence, dedication, and
outstanding contributions to our community in a time of crisis.
